March 2026 | CMG has launched a new thread of webinars, “Sector Dialogues” (行业对话), designed to spotlight key sectors shaping China’s economic landscape. Through this initiative, we aim to curate relevant and practical discussions with industry representatives on a wide range of topics—from market and policy trends to the evolving role of foreign businesses, geopolitical considerations, and overall sector sentiment.
The webinars kicked off with a focus on China’s chemicals sector today -between overcapacities, innovative ingenuity and decarbonization responsibility. We were glad to host Mr. PANG Guanglian, Executive Board Member, Vice Secretary-General, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF).
Mr. Pang has been a key promoter of the internationalization and sustainable development of China’s chemical industry, advocating for green supply chains, circular economy, the new plastics economy, and responsible care. He has provided policy research and recommendations to Chinese agencies including NDRC, MIIT, and SASAC, and has initiated and led major international conferences such as CPCIC, the Asian Downstream Technology & Markets Conference, the Sanya International Energy Forum, and the Sino-Foreign Petrochemical CEO Roundtable.
