CMG focuses on analyzing China related geopolitical factors plus China’s foreign affairs with a focus on understanding China’s domestic policy responses and shifts (e.g. “de-risking”), broadening trade conditionalities such as export controls or “warning lists”, key bilateral relations (e.g. EU-China, Russia-China or US-China) and the “Taiwan issue” as well as how China multi-dimensionally deepens its diplomatic, trade and investment connectivity with third countries while driving its “autonomous” opening-up and economic integration with the world economy.​
